Geosciences is for YOU

Did you know?

  • Geosciences is the branch of science that  includes all fields of natural science related to the planet Earth.
  • More geosciences jobs than geoscientists exist.
  • Geoscientists work in climate science, environmental consulting, mining, oceanography, petroleum, and planetary studies.
  • UW-Milwaukee is one of the top research universities in the U.S. and a great place to become a geoscientist!

If you are intrigued, please check out GO FoRWARD, a summer educational experience dedicated to increasing the diversity, equity, and inclusion of students majoring in geosciences at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

The summer program is back in 2021!  Applications are already closed for this year.  If you are interested in getting involved with Geosciences research or career programs, please email Dyanna Czeck (dyanna@uwm.edu), and she will help you find opportunities.
