Geosciences is for YOU

Did you know?

  • Geosciences is the branch of science that  includes all fields of natural science related to the planet Earth.
  • More geosciences jobs than geoscientists exist.
  • Geoscientists work in climate science, environmental consulting, mining, oceanography, petroleum, and planetary studies.
  • UW-Milwaukee is one of the top research universities in the U.S. and a great place to become a geoscientist!

If you are intrigued, please check out GO FoRWARD, a summer educational experience dedicated to increasing the diversity, equity, and inclusion of students majoring in geosciences at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

GO FoRWARD hosted a summer research cohort program in 2018-2022, but 2023 will be a bit different as we host some all-expenses paid fieldtrips to fun geologic sites. Application information here If you are interested in getting involved with Geosciences research or career programs, please email Dyanna Czeck (dyanna@uwm.edu), and she will help you find opportunities.
