Our Advanced Structural Geology class went on a shear zone filled fieldtrip on September 17-18. We saw the Twelve Foot Falls Shear Zone near Dunbar, WI; the Niagara Fault (with ductile fabrics) near Norway, MI; and the Mountain Shear Zone near Mountain, WI. We had a beautiful campsite, fabulous weather, a convivial atmosphere, and great rocks! It was so nice to be out in the field with students again!
