Laya, Thomas, Nathan, Kelly, and Kris explore the dank, Gothic world of Amnesia. The game exerts a liberal amount of control over the player through its interface and aesthetics. The uncanny valley was also discussed and how the limits of technology can be exploited to evoke a desired response from players (see Tinwell). Questions were raised by Thomas about the visual grammar of horror games and what games work against those tropes.
