Motivation:

• Undetected impacts can cause hidden damage to structures like aircraft.
• Most current impact location systems require baseline data or information about the structure that will vary with differing impacts and environmental conditions. For example, temperature variations will vary the propagation speed of strain waves

Goal:

• Create and test algorithms and systems for baseline free impact location in general structures.
