Laboratory for Sport Psychology & Performance Excellence (LSPPE) faculty Dr. Barbara Meyer was a recent panelist in part two of a three-part video series, titled “2023 Mental Health Series” hosted by the Horizon League. In the YouTube video “2023 Mental Health Series: Sports Psychology vs. General Psychology Panel”, Dr. Meyer discussed the distinction between mental health and mental performance and shared ideas on how to deal with competitive anxiety. She was joined by other individuals involved in Horizon League athletics.
Additionally, LSPPE alumni Dr. Carly Wahl was a panelist in the first installment of the video series, titled “2023 Mental Health Series: Identity Outside of Sport Panel”, in which she provided insight on the process of finding an identity outside of being an athlete.
