It’s hard to be a fighter.
Not like the “let’s throw down” kind of fighter.
But the fighter who’s got passion and drive.
The kind who’s not gonna let anything stop them.
The type of person who’s going to fix whatever is broken, just to spite you.
Fuck the person who tries to stop them.
Even if it hurts in the long run,
It’s worth it to the fighter.
The person who keeps going to the gym to show all those people who called them fat wrong.
The person who joins academic decathlon because their parents laughed at the thought.
The person dying of cancer with almost no chance of survival whose spirit just won’t break.
Those are the people to be feared.
The fighter wants to show the world that giving up isn’t an option.
It’s hard to be a fighter.
Because the fighter can’t always win.
But they’re so set in their ways,
So they take the losses hard.
It’s so unfair for the natural born fighters, to stand aside and let things just happen.
But the people who were made into fighters have it worse.
They experienced something so hard and challenging,
They changed who they are so they could have a chance to win.
When they finally accept that this is who they are now, the losses are even harder to bear.
It’s hard to be a fighter.
It can get lonely.
Not everyone wants to follow the fighter into battle.
Many go it alone in the end.
Many just think they’re alone.
The fighter has an aura that surrounds them.
It permeates those they come in contact with.
The fighters of the world never stop, though
It’s hard sometimes.
