Many people have faced very drastic changes in the work environment since COVID-19. It is important to research the new factors of communication in today’s work environment. Some of the key terms that may require definition in my study would be uncertainty reduction, uncertainty reduction strategies and uncertainty reduction theory. I will be using the snowball sampling method so I can get responses from people who are dealing with the change currently and I will need my subject to have been in the workplace long enough to understand the differences the workplace has faced since COVID-19 began versus it was before. My anticipated conclusion would be that uncertainty reduction strategies that are going to be utilized the most are going to be different than the ones we previously utilized most frequently. This online work environment is something we are all going to be dealing with and when we are another for the foreseeable future, we should care to do research on this work environment just as much as any.
