The Center for Sustainable Electrical Energy Systems primarily conducts power electronics research, specializing in electric shipboard systems, battery energy storage and microgrid controls among other foci. In particular, SEES works closely with the U.S. Navy, currently receiving $3 million in grants from the Office of Naval Research and Naval Sea Command.
