The UV-2600i and UV-2700i double-beam spectrophotometers are true research-grade instruments for a wide variety of applications. The high-absorbance measurement capability and sub-nanometer bandwidths make them perfect for analysis of band gap, optical coatings and thin films, biological samples like DNA and proteins, as well as for any routine work expected of a UV-Vis spectrophotometer.

The UV-2600i and UV-2700i are equipped with Shimadzu’s propriety Lo-Ray-Ligh® diffraction gratings that deliver low stray light levels in order to obtain very accurate measurements of samples, including very high absorbing and reflecting samples encountered in the materials science field. These research-grade instruments are suitable for materials characterization in a variety of markets, including electronics and optics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, life sciences, environmental, textiles and food. Shimadzu’s LabSolutions UV-Vis control software is included with the instrument and measurement modes include photometric, spectrum, quantitation, kinetics, time course and bio-methods.

With LabSolutions UV-Vis software, users can get the most out of the instrument in terms of data acquisition, analysis, data integrity and user administration. With the proper software compliance package, the UV-2600i/UV-2700i and the software setup can provide total data integrity, user administration and audit trails to fully comply with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
