Abul Borkot Md Rafiqul Hasan is from a small village in the district of Joypurhat of Bangladesh. After completing his high school at Rajshahi Cadet College he joined the top engineering school of Bangladesh. Hasan received his bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering in October 2018 from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). During his senior year, he worked with Numerical simulation of heat transfer and entropy generation inside a prismatic cavity. In 2021, Hasan joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Currently, he is working in the laboratory for Flow and Transport Studies in Porous Media under the supervision of Professor Krishna M. Pillai. His research focus is non-isothermal and ultrasound effects on wicking. Besides, Hasan is working as a Teaching Assistant for the “Basic heat transfer” course where he helps the undergraduate students with theoretical knowledge and experiments in the lab. He also designs, tests experiments, troubleshoot software and hardware in the heat transfer lab.
