Welcome to the web page for the Cognitive Development Research Group directed by Dr. Chris Lawson. Research in our lab is focused on understanding the development of inductive generalization. How do children develop the skills that allow them to generalize information they learned in one context to another context? We examine this question by conducting basic developmental research that examines the development of inductive reasoning and applied research designed to understand how children learn to generalize in a variety of of contexts.
