Last month, Laboratory for Sport Psychology & Performance Excellence faculty member Dr. Monna Arvinen-Barrow delivered an international webinar titled “Rehabilitation of the Biopsychosocial Athlete”. In her presentation, she shared evidence for taking a biopsychosocial approach to sport injury rehabilitation, professional practice models for sport injury rehabilitation, and recommendations for sport medicine practitioners in addressing the psychosocial aspects of sport injury.

Additionally, Dr. Arvinen-Barrow received the Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) Excellence Award. This award recognizes instructors who have gone above and beyond to provide accessibility within their courses, to maintain professionalism when working with ARC students and staff, and to practice sensitivity in their work with a diverse student population.
