Video: UWM Sport Psychology Helps Peter Andrew Enjoy Record-Breaking Senior Season

Featured in this video production from the Black & Gold Network is Peter Andrew of the Milwaukee track & field team. The Fond du Lac native has won three consecutive Horizon league titles in shot put. In the video, Peter describes how working with UWM Sport Psychology has helped him “bring fun back into the sport” and helped him achieve success.

Excerpt from the Black & Gold Network: After a breakout junior campaign, Andrew has enjoyed a record-breaking senior season. He finished his indoor season successfully defending his Horizon League title in shot put, breaking his own school record for the fourth time on the year. That school record now sits at 17.86m (58-7 ¼) – over two feet farther than the previous mark that had stood since 2000.

Now, Andrew is focused on his outdoor season. He qualified for regionals a season ago in shot put after taking down the school record en route to another conference title. Heading into this weekend’s meet at Kentucky, he has now finished first or second all 11 times competing in shot put this season and already ranks 45th in the region with over a month to go before regionals.
