Welcome to the 2023 UWM Partners for Health Research Symposium

The UWM Partners for Health Research Symposium showcases graduate and undergraduate student work representing a range of programs across our health-related schools and colleges. This will be a great opportunity for students to disseminate their health-related work to peers, professors, and the wider Milwaukee community, often for the first time.

We invite students from the College of Health Sciences, College of Nursing, and Joseph J. Zilber School of Public Health, to submit their health-related work to the 2023 UWM Partners for Health Research Symposium.

Presentations based on a wide range of research are welcome, including completed research projects, projects in progress or research proposals, literature reviews, and projects based on community partnership efforts. Submitted abstracts should be based on student-led, UWM faculty-sponsored research projects.

This year, the UWM Partners for Health Research Symposium will be conducted in person. Participating students will submit a project abstract for review and will present a poster at the symposium. Students will also indicate whether they would like to be considered for a podium (oral) presentation at the symposium.

The Symposium will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., in the UWM Union Ballroom.

April 9, 2023
Project abstract submissions are due by 11:59 pm CST.

May 5, 2023 – Symposium
Held in the UWM Union Ballroom, students will present their research posters and select students will give podium (oral) presentations. The symposium will take place from 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.
