de la Cova lab news:

August 27, 2024 – Our new paper in Developmental Biology is online!

In this work, we explored FGF signaling and cell-specific signaling mechanisms in development. You can read it here: The Caenorhabditis elegans protein SOC-3 permits an alternative mode of signal transduction by the EGL-15 FGF receptor.”

August 13, 2024 – SDB Midwest regional meeting

Our lab attended the 2024 SDB Midwest Regional Meeting in Madison, Wisconsin.

Fatemeh Cheraghi presented a poster on Raf mutations, “Using Caenorhabditis elegans to test the impact of mutations from Noonan Syndrome.”

Claire gave a talk on FGF signaling, The Caenorhabditis elegans protein SOC-3 permits an alternative mode of signal transduction by the EGL-15 FGF receptor.”

April 26, 2024 – Undergraduate research symposium

Three of our undergraduate trainees presented posters at the 16th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium!

Katelyn Flitcroft presented “Cell Specific Mechanisms of Fibroblast Growth Factor Signaling in C. elegans.

Parnian Vakili presented “Using Caenorhabditis elegans to Test the Impact of Cardiofaciocutaneous Syndrome Mutations.”

Andrew Pagel presented “Generating a Model of Noonan Syndrome Mutations in C. elegans Raf.”
