When looking at different spices, pepper is often overlooked, despite it’s everyday appeal to elevate different dishes with its flavor. In this paper, I will be highlighting the spice’s impact, as seen through the trade routes which opened the door to the different regions it touched upon, either as the locations of origin or as the recipients of the trade which allowed it to be carried to distant countries.
