Heavenly Johnson, “Creating an Immersive Sustainable World: Starting with Hemp”
Mentor: Christopher Willey, Art & Design
Climate change propels my research to visualize and present sustainable industrial use of the plant Hemp and its use as an alternative energy resource. Industrial Hemp, not to be confused with Cannabis, can also be used for biomass fuel, papers, and fabrics. Hemp is an ecological choice in many different areas, which can help reduce our negative impact on climate change. I am examining how this information can be presented to the public in an immersive digital environment using interactive technologies.
Hello everyone and welcome to my poster. My research this semester is primarily based on sustainability and how it can be used to replace common energy uses. If you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment and thank you for stopping by.
I have been working in this research since Jan 2021 and loved every minute of it. I am currently a junior in the school of Information Studies @UWM. And with this research I plan working in creating a space where sustainability is learned and displayed to the public in a fun interactive way.
Hi Heavenly! I appreciate the ecological and aesthetic approach here immensely: how might we instigate more research into developing bio-fuel production in less expensive and more expansive ways. Re-situate, speculate, wonder, and propose. Nicely done!
thank you for the comment. trying to find ways that are less expensive is where i come in. also wanting to showcase people who are already doing that research and hopefully by my research bring more light to industrial hemp
