This research involved looking at the construction of NBA teams’ rosters. There was a creation of a 3-tier system for the levels of teams along with a point system to grade each one of these team styles based off what the team’s immediate set of goals are. The three tiers of teams used are the contending teams which is roughly the top ten total teams likely to win the championship, the rebuilding teams which are roughly the bottom 10 teams with the goals of developing young talent and acquiring draft capital, and the in-between teams which are not good enough to win the title, but either are not young enough to rebuild or do not have draft capital to restart. There are example evaluations in each one of these tiers as well.
