Daniela Masson-Meyers is a pharmacist by training with a Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a PhD in Medical Sciences (Biomedical Investigation). She completed her PhD from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil and part of her research was done at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she is now a Research Associate in the Photomedicine Research Laboratory, College of Health Sciences and in the Raicu Research Group. Her research interests include: phototherapy (antimicrobial properties of blue light and use of red and infrared light to promote wound healing), phytomedicine, cell culture, experimental wound healing models, tissue sampling and processing, cytotoxicity tests, antimicrobial susceptibility tests, infection, among others.
