Mechatronics Lab

In the Mechatronics Lab students learn how to integrate mechanical, electrical, electronic and computer control elements into a functioning system to address specific challenges. Real-world mechatronics applications include drones, autonomous cars and programmable thermostats.

Using hands-on experiments, the full mastery of student’s learning is demonstrated in the final project, where teams design, build, and demonstrate a functioning mechatronic system, which is often a robot. Watching their robots perform a series of specific tasks offers students not only a chance to see their learning in action, but it’s also a lot of fun.
