Mission

The ADL investigates anomalous/deficient cognitive processes underlying the psychopathology of various anxiety problems. Currently, several research projects are conducted with the emphasis on the following topics:

  1. Experimental psychopathology research on maladaptive cognitive processes underlying anxiety problems and their psychobiological correlates. We are utilizing various research paradigms and methods in this line of work that include computerized cognitive experiments, eye-gaze pattern analysis, psychophysiological assessment, and brain imaging.
  2. Development of computerized cognitive interventions for various anxiety and its related problems. We are conducting several studies that aim to develop computer-based cognitive retraining programs for various anxiety problems and examine their underlying therapeutic mechanisms.
