Examining Cognitive Control Abilities

Previous

The purpose of this research study is to better understand the relationship between response inhibition (the ability to inhibit a pre-potent response) and emotional stimuli, as well as a range of clinical symptoms.

Participants will complete this study on a laptop or computer over one continuous time-frame (about an hour), in the following order:

– Demographic survey
– Cognitive task 1
– Survey battery 1 (several pages)
– Cognitive task 2
– Survey battery 2 (several pages)
– Cognitive task 3
– Submit page

This research is an investigation into response inhibition (the ability to stop an unwanted ongoing response) as it applies within an emotional context.

Participants can earn up to 1 SONA credit (for UWM students taking psychology courses).
