Research conducted by the members of the Sport and Performance Psychology Laboratory broadly encompasses the inclusion of psychosocial constructs in elite sport performance and sport injury rehabilitation. More specifically, research topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Integrated approaches to facilitating performance and decreasing injury risk among athletes, teams, and sport organizations
  • Psychological aspects of rest and recovery in sport
  • Assessment of psychosocial constructs in athlete populations
  • Use of psychosocial strategies in sport injury rehabilitation and return to participation process
  • Role of sport medicine professionals in psychosocial rehabilitation
  • Benefits and practicalities of adopting an interprofessional approach to sport performance, injury rehabilitation, and return to participation
