Dr. Barbara Meyer, a LSPPE faculty member, was honored as one of the Notable Women in Sport in southeastern Wisconsin by BizTimes Media. This recognition celebrates her local, national, and international impact on individuals and teams in the sport world. BizTimes Milwaukee featured 19 professional women in sport in their July 29, 2024, issue and on Biztimes.com. The inaugural class was selected through nominations from community organizations and individuals. Nominees had to meet specific criteria, including serving in a significant role in their sport for five or more years, demonstrating measurable impact in their area of expertise, assuming leadership positions outside their own organizations, and mentoring or sponsoring other women in their professional field or performing pro bono work.

Notable Women in Sports is part of BizTimes Media’s Notable series, which highlights noteworthy business leaders in southeastern Wisconsin.
