LSPPE Student Nathan Ebersole Wins Award at UWM Undergraduate Research Symposium

Nathan Ebersole, an Undergraduate Research Fellow in the Laboratory for Sport Psychology and Performance Excellence (LSPPE), recently presented his research at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) Undergraduate Research Symposium. The annual UWM Undergraduate Research Symposium celebrates the collaborations of UWM undergraduate students with the university’s larger research community. Ebersole’s work examined the effects of mental skills training workshops in the fire service. During the symposium, Ebersole had the opportunity to share his work with Joshua Parish, Assistant Chief of the Milwaukee Fire Department.

At the event, more than 250 students from various schools and colleges shared their research through posters, art, and oral presentations. Symposium judges included UWM faculty, staff, graduate students, and alumni. For his work, Ebersole was honored as one of the Outstanding Presentation Award winners for his work.

Nathan will attend Georgia Southern University in Fall 2024, pursuing a M.S. degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sport and Exercise Psychology. As a research assistant, he will be contributing to the Tactical Athlete Initiative.
