The aim of the study is to investigate the within-tester and between-tester precision related to identification of anatomical landmarks on the shank and foot bones associated with a kinematic multi-segment foot model.
Who can participate?
- Males and Females
- Ages 18 to 44
- No injuries to thigh, legs, or feet in the last 3 months that resulted in at least 1 interrupted day of desired physical activity
- No major spine, thigh, leg, or foot surgery to the right limb
- No swelling in the thighs, legs, or feet
- No arthritis, neuromuscular, or neurodegenerative disease
What will I do?:
- Phone screen to determine study eligibility (~5 min)
- Lab visit 1 (~1 h 10 min)
- Complete consent form
- Record height and weight
- Sit while bony landmarks are identified and reflective markers are placed on your leg and foot
- Stand in a comfortable position while data is collected
- The bony landmark procedures will be performed by two testers
- Lab visit 2 (~1 h)
- Return within 1 week to repeat the testing procedures
