Qing Yang
Postdoc
Dr. Yang joined the Hydro-Intelligence Lab as a postdoc in August 2022. He was previously a postdoc at the University of Connecticut. He earned his Ph.D. at Guangxi University, China. His primary research interest involves flood forecast, observatory and impact assessment in the context of short-term operation and long-term climate change. He is currently working an operational system to generate high-resolution flood inundation maps in Near-real-time using Sentinel-1 SAR data. He also seeking AI algorithms to facilitate the remotely sensed flood mapping and better assessing the flood impact on socio-economic in the future climate.
