
WisCCA is a partnership between the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, funded through DPI’s Federal Investment in Statewide Systems Change (FISSC) program (CFDA# 84.027A). WisCCA is charged with supporting speech-language pathologists in their assessment practices and promoting the broader DPI initiative on Comprehensive Special Education Evaluation.
Meet the Team
Dawn Merth-Johnson
Dawn is the education consultant for speech-language and assistive technology at DPI. She is an ASHA State Education Advocacy Leader and worked as a school-based SLP before joining the DPI team.
Alyssa Wojtyna
Alyssa is the Project Manager and Statewide Coordinator for the WisCCA Project. Prior to joining WisCCA, she was a Lead SLP in the Eau Claire School District.
John Heilmann

John is a Professor at UW-Milwaukee and helps manage the WisCCA project. His research interests include language assessments and school-based practice.
