In developing complex interventions, it is important to understand the extent to which the intervention elements produce desired outcomes. In this pursuit, it becomes fundamental to identify the core (key) and adaptable (modifiable) components. Our research team sought to rely on a multi-media approach to compile input from a multidisciplinary panel related to the core and adaptable components of the Cultivating Resilience Intervention, currently being pilot tested with Hispanics/Latinxs as a mental health group workshop. To this end, six videos were developed that employ auditory and visual representation of each component comprising the intervention (i.e., psychoeducation, mindfulness, values assessment, structured problem solving, interpersonal skills training, social drivers of health resource navigation). This process aims at creating a sense of auditory and visual communication in addition to learning through a medium of multi-video tools that can engage diverse populations. The video creation process relied heavily on iterative collaborations with research team members to prioritize appropriate representation and inclusion in the portrayal of the intervention components. These videos will be embedded into a mixed-methods Qualtrics survey to a multidisciplinary panel (N=50). We will then ask respondents to provide input relating to the cultural appropriateness and relevance of the intervention components. We are also going to present the videos in-person to a Community Advisory Board (N=10) and draw out qualitative themes. Both quantitative and qualitative datasets will be integrated in-line with our mixed methods approach. This multi-media approach serves as a methodological model in showcasing and conceptualizing core and adaptable components of interventions.
