Jeffrey H. Tiger, Ph.D., BCBA-D

Dr. Tiger received his Ph.D. from the University of Kansas and completed a post doctoral fellowship at the Munroe-Meyer Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Tiger then served as an assistant professor at Louisiana State University from 2007 to 2011 before joining the faculty of UWM in 2011. His research involves clinical, educational, and translational projects focused on the assessment and treatment of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Dr. Tiger currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and as president of the Mid-American Associate for Behavior Analysis. He received the B.F. Skinner New Researcher award from Division 25 of the American Psychological Association in 2012.

Kyle Caldwell

Kyle joined the Tiger Lab in the Fall of 2016. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of North Texas while working with Dr. Karen Toussaint. He is currently developing his thesis project to teach individuals with severe problem behavior to independently recruit preferred activities to mediate delays to reinforcement.

Melissa (Krabbe) Drifke

Melissa completed her bachelors degree in Psychology at Marquette University in May of 2012 and joined the Tiger Lab in the Fall of 2012. She completed her Masters degree in 2014 and successfully passed her examination to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Wisconsin Licensed Behavior Analyst. She is currently developing her dissertation. Melissa’s thesis was recently accepted for publication in Learning and Motivation and she is developing her dissertation to examine the learning histories that promote preference for and against choice-making opportunities.

Caitlin Fulton

Caitlin completed her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nebraska in Omaha and worked at the Munroe-Meyer Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, working with Drs. Wayne Fisher, Cathleen Piazza, Henry Roane, and Tiffany Kodak, among others. Caitlin is currently developing her thesis examining the role of preference in selecting alternative reinforcers to delivery during delay periods following functional communication training.

Maggie Gifford

Maggie completed her Bachelor’s degree at Drake University in Iowa where she worked with Dr. Maria Valdavinos. She is particularly interested in parent and teacher training for behavioral interventions and is in the early stages of developing her thesis project.

Kim Gussy-Fragakis

1st Year Masters Student

Kim worked as an undergraduate research assistant in the Tiger Lab before formally enrolling in the Master’s program in 2016. She is developing her Master’s thesis comparing the efficacy of praise as a reinforcer with and without therapist eye contact.

Andrew Jost

2nd Year Master’s Student

Andrew completed his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he worked with Drs. Kevin Klatt and Carla Lagorio. He is currently a BCaBA and is scheduled to complete his practicum training at the end of the 2016 academic year. He will sit for his BCBA and pursue clinical positions after his graduation.

Dani Larson

Dani completed her undergraduate degree from St. Olaf college and began working with children with autism after her graduation. Dani joined the Master’s program at UWM in 2016.

Madelynn Lillie

2nd Year Master’s Student

Maddy completed her Bachelor’s degree at UW-Milwaukee and worked with Dr. Tiger as a research assistant prior to enrolling in the Master’s program. Maddy’s Masters thesis will examine the generative development of braille literacy skills with sighted college students.
