This is a photo that I almost used for the self-portrait project but didn’t like quite as much as the one that I submitted. My eyes are two different colors and I like how the vibrant lighting showcases that. The eye on the right is blue and matches the blue light on my hair. Whereas my other eye is green and the pink light contrasts it quite well.

This is another picture I took while visiting my family. Not pictured is a glass door off to the right. It is the source of the blue light hitting Buddy’s fur after a long day outside. I like the contrast of the blue light from the sky and the yellow light from the lamp on Buddy. He needs a haircut…

This photo is not the best quality as it is a candid photo of my brother and our family dog, Buddy. I tried to capture this sweet moment without either of them noticing. My parents have a glass fire burner on their deck. It always emits a warm yellow light. You can especially see it on the rim of the burner pictured on the right. You can also see it on Calvin and Buddy’s faces.

I took this photo on my way back to Milwaukee after briefly visiting my family. (I was not the one driving). I like the warm tones of light in this photo. Especially the way that it pairs with the green billboard. The red car lights, the orange streetlamps, and the barely visible yellow headlights light up the dark street.

During my walk to class both these front yards have really caught my eye. They both use the vibrant colors of the flowers to attract the eye of people and make the presentation of their house even more beautiful. The house with multiple colors and types of flowers really pops as you look at the variety. It really shows you how vibrant colors can attract eyes and pull one’s focus.

Colored Light “Vibrant”- Mason Jordan 1
I took this photo on Monday the 27th, possibly one of the last 80-degree days for a while. I found this interesting because of the simple beauty that is found in nature. After taking the picture, I started to think how none of this would be possible without the sun (light). By saying this, I mean the flowers wouldn’t grow, and the butterfly wouldn’t see…
Most of all, there wouldn’t be any light waves a.ka (electromagnetic radiation). In return, the colors on the butterfly and flowers would have nothing to reflect to the human eye. Therefore we could not see!

Light Creates Texture 3
I think this shot shows a good contrast between the light falling on to the wood of the bench and the light falling on to the wood of the birdhouse. Exposed directly to the sunlight, the birdhouse looks a bit harder edged and brighter, while the light on the bench falls on it more softly and smoother.
