While on a little autumn adventure, I found myself surrounded by trees backlit by a setting sun. The sun (the key light) outlines and defines every branch and leaf within its reach. While the backlight strips away the texture from the trees that would be visible with a front key, it adds definition and harsh lines. The bounce from the sun fills in the rest of the world, allowing the color and details of leaves to be visible.
