Artist Statement
I am a digital artist who prefers dogs to people. My current work reflects my process of digital collage combined with animal photography. The process of heavily modifying individual layers before combining them into a more unified whole was utilized in these works. Capitalizing on the magic of image tracing software, I find what AI algorithms do with our work to be very interesting. Multiple layers of outputs are created, then combined into a whole manually in Adobe Photoshop. The unique results are why I like using these trades outputs as input for a grander whole. I’d cite my main artistic inspirations as Emily Berens and Christopher Willey. I also have a large amount of love for dogs, and believe their unique personalities shine through in simple images.
