In 1980, a serial killer that had been on the FBI’s 10 most wanted list abducted Tim and Kelly from the parking lot of a friend’s wedding reception. It was 3 months before their bodies were found after what would become Wisconsin’s largest missing persons search in history. Tim was my dad’s cousin, killed before he turned 20. I was not around to know Tim, but witnessed the ripples this event had throughout my family. Now that I am the age Tim was when he passed, I am exploring the scars of this event. I begin at North Highway, West Road, a field at the origin of this scar, and through this durational video I ritualize place in an attempt to contextualize a traumatic event and consider the wounds that are left.
