Artist Statement

As an artist I consider myself to be multifaceted, but I have pursued my enjoyment in linking chain and casting silver to create a few pieces that can be worn on the body. By using leather, chain and found objects I can combine them to create a necklace or body chain that easily changes the entirety of an outfit. The chains will be either hand linked together one by one, or they will already be linked together. I also cut, distressed and riveted leather straps that were then used as a necklace. My goal is to take metal chains and cast pendants to be worn in multiple ways and remain unique from any other styles. Leather and silver are both the predominant materials that will assist in my vision becoming real.
