Design in Focus

Design in Focus marks a pivotal moment in my artistic practice, where I blend graphic design and photography in ways that reflect my evolving understanding of both mediums. Initially, I viewed them as separate, complementary art forms, but through tools like Photoshop, I realized the potential to seamlessly merge these disciplines into a unified expression of creativity.

This series reflects my ongoing growth as an artist, where I experiment with a range of styles—from minimalist to more intricate, layered compositions. Each piece represents a step in my creative journey, showcasing my commitment to pushing technical skills and artistic vision while embracing new approaches and uncertainty.

As part of this exploration, I returned to the core principles of design—line, shape, color, form, pattern, and texture. By creating a series focused on these fundamentals, I reconnected with the basics that first inspired me, grounding my more experimental work in timeless design elements. This return to my roots not only reinforces the power of these principles but also shows how they can evolve in new contexts.

Beyond technique, this work delves into the personalities of my subjects. Each photograph captures not just their surface but the essence of their self-expression. By merging their identities with my evolving design concepts, I create a dialogue between subject and artwork, blurring the lines between the two mediums and offering a deeper, layered approach to self-expression.
