Associate Professor of Linguistics

I am an Associate Professor of Linguistics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I have published fourteen books in Linguistics and one in creative writing. My research is based on multi-methodologies and cross-disciplinary approaches to sociolinguistics, language contact and bilingualism, and linguistic historiography. I have conducted research on language maintenance and shift, language policies, ideologies, and planning, as well as on the history of sociolinguistics.
