Pup Tent Assembly is a collective of artists whose practices are rooted in field-based experience. Although deeply committed to their home environments, these artists are ready and willing to pick up their stakes upon invitation, inquiry or desire to congregate at sites that vary from urban to wilderness. Upon arrival, Pup Tent Assembly artists begin to engage local communities, environmental science, history and aesthetics to create individual and collaborative pieces that paint a portrait of place. The culminating work spans a range of genres and is shown at a variety of venues with the hope that it will perpetuate opportunities for this group of nomads to congregate once again.
