Biography

Dr. James Price is an Assistant Professor and Environmental Economist at the School of Freshwater Sciences, University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. He was formerly a postdoctoral research fellow at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Brock University, and the University of British Columbia – Okanagan, and holds master’s and doctoral degrees in economics from the University of New Mexico, with concentrations in economic theory, environmental and natural resource economics, and econometrics. Dr. Price’s research focuses on nonmarket valuation and municipal water modeling, including issues related to source water protection, in situ water quality, drinking water quality, small-scale irrigation, residential water demand, and urban flooding. He has extensive experience working in interdisciplinary settings and with partners from local government agencies and research institutes.
