Examinations:

• Exam 1 on Wednesday, February 12
• Exam 2 on Wednesday, March 11
• Exam 3 on Wednesday, April 15
• Comprehensive final exam on Monday, May 11 5:00PM – 6:15PM

Homework: A list of problems will be given on Wednesday every week. Students will present solutions to homework in class, and turn in 2 problems (of their choosing) next Wednesday in writing. Late homework will not be accepted.

Interaction and cooperation between students while solving a problem are expected and encouraged, but the writing should be your own. Of course, you are always welcome to consult with me.

Grades: Each presented and written problem will have an equal weight in the final grade – 10 points. Your final grade will be determined by my judgment of your mastery of the subject matter.

To comply with a Higher Learning Commission requirement, we provide below information on the estimated amount of time an average student needs to invest in order to achieve the learning goals for this class:

• 36 hours in the classroom.
• 4 hours taking Exams.
• 104 hours of study.

Total number of hours: 144.

Deadlines:

February 3: LAST DAY to add classes, change from a graded basis to audit or credit/no credit status, or vice versa.

February 17: LAST DAY to drop without “W”.

April 5: LAST DAY to drop.

Other:

Room changes, course cancellations, etc., are posted on Department letterhead only.

Students will be allowed to complete examinations or other requirements that are missed because of a religious observance.
