The Influence of Gender and Race in Fostering Innovation in Engineering Teams

Our current study is interested in examining the roles that gender and race play in the performance and innovation of engineering teams. Here are a few questions that we are currently investigating. We believe that understanding this relationship will help us further understand the role that diversity plays in engineering.

  1. Is diversity in both knowledge and demographics related to innovation?
  2. How do engineering teams form? How do they break apart?
  3. Under what conditions do engineering teams work the best?

How can I be involved?

We want to hear from you! If you are a practicing engineer working on a team, we want to hear about your experience. There are two ways that we may interview you, they are:

  1. Participate in an hour long interview
  2. Take a survey about your experiences on teams.
