Nadya A. Fouad, Ph.D., Mary and Ted Kellner Endowed Chair of Educational Psychology and University Distinguished Professor

Nadya A. Fouad is a faculty member in the Counseling Psychology area of the Department of Educational Psychology. She studies how people make work and career-related decisions, particularly in understanding the work choices for women and underrepresented minorities. At the doctoral level, she teaches Ethics for Professional Psychologists and the Vocational Psychology Doctoral Seminar.  At the master’s level, she teaches Foundations of Career Development.  She also supervises doctoral students in their practicum sequence and advises students’ dissertation research.   She serves as Special Advisor to the Provost for Conflict Resolution and chair of the Ombuds Council for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Romila Singh, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Organizational and Strategic Management, Lubar School of Business

Romila Singh specializes in organizational behavior and human resource management. She teaches and conducts research on a variety of topics in these areas. In particular, her research focuses on understanding career management issues related to career choices, work-life relationships, and retention and turnover decisions of women and people of color. Dr. Singh teaches courses in human resources management at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Since 2002, she has served as the Faculty Advisor to the award winning UWM student chapter of Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). In recognition of her time, service, and leadership, she was twice named the UWM Outstanding Advisor of the Year by the Student Organization Advising and Resources (SOAR) and Center for Student Involvement (CIE) offices. Dr. Singh has also received several teaching awards, including Lubar School’s Business Advisory Council Award for Teaching Excellence.

 

 

Edward Levitas, Ph.D., Professor of Organizational and Strategic Management, Lubar School of Business

Edward Levitas specializes in strategic management and the management of innovation. His research activity focuses on technology and new product development, particularly among biotechnology and pharmaceutical firms. He has examined how strategic alliances, financial asset availability, technology transfers, and managerial incentives affect firm innovation and survival. He also examines how principles of Behavioral Economics impacts strategic decision-making.

 

 

 

Nina Linneman, M.A., Research Assistant

Nina Linneman is a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology in the Department of Educational Psychology. Her research interests are two-fold:  she is interested in women in engineering efforts, academic achievement, and school to work pipeline as well as interventions for chronic health conditions in pediatric populations and primary care psychology integration.

Matthew Kessler, Research Assistant

Matthew Kessler is a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the Department of Educational Psychology. His research interests center around Veteran vocation development and the effects of trauma on vocation. He is also interested in innovative methods of psychotherapy to increase Veteran retention rates.

 

Lu Yu, M.S., Project Assistant

Lu Yu is a Ph.D. Candidate in Organizations and Strategic Management in the Department of Management. Her research interests include expatriates, women in workplaces, and organizational authenticity. She teaches courses in Organizational Behavior and Management Analysis at the undergraduate level.
