I am a critical qualitative intercultural communication scholar. In my research, I seek to challenge the systems of power that position cultural communities in relation to each other, improve communication and pedagogy about race within the university, and help expand the application of critical perspectives in the field of communication.

I have worked and taught at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee since Fall 2020. Originally from Houston, TX, I have lived in many places before making my home here. In my free time, I love to travel, go on hikes and bike rides, and visit breweries with my husband and daughter!
