The Transit Route Planning (Computer Aided Instruction) Course is a computer program that asks multiple choice questions and provides feedback for wrong answers. Some questions are quite difficult, and there have been a few disagreements as to the correct answers. The software runs under Windows. You will also need a handout with some useful data. There are three modules within the software:
- Transit Route Relationships
- Principles of Route Location
- Transit Ridership Forecasting
Each module takes about 2 hours to complete. Par is 50% for the first try at any module.
There is no installation program. Just unzip all the files into a single folder. Run the software by double clicking CAITran.exe.
