I received my B.A. in Psychology from Oakland University and spent the next year working with my former undergraduate advisor researching sucrose and alcohol addiction. I then received my M.S. from Oakland University under Dr. Martha Escobar first researching pharmacological interventions to attenuate spatial memory deficits caused by prenatal alcohol exposure. I then moved to researching how memory reactivation impacts extinction and latent inhibition using rodent subjects and fear conditioning.
I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in experimental psychology with a focus in behavioral neuroscience under Dr. Fred Helmstetter. My research interests are memory consolidation and reconsolidation, fear conditioning, and extinction.
