Summary | This report summarizes the findings of two surveys, targeting the 127 representatives of ARL (Association of Research Libraries) members. The first survey was distributed in April 2023, and received 20 responses. The second survey was distributed after nine months in December 2023, and received 59 fully and partially completed responses. The surveys aim to understand ARL members’ perspectives on the key aspects of AI in libraries. Specifically, the surveys investigate members’ views on the potential impact of AI on library services, the extent of current AI exploration and implementation, and the identification of relevant AI applications in libraries. |
