Summary This report set was developed by the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) and the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI) to explore the impacts of AI on research and knowledge ecosystem. The report set consists of three reports: 1) ARL/CNI AI Scenarios: AI-Influenced Futures. This report presents four possible scenarios of AI in the research and knowledge ecosystem. The scenarios explored uncertainties in Bias, Ethics, Inclusion, and Equity, and the role of librarians and information professionals. 2) ARL/CNI AI Scenarios: Strategic Context. This report summarizes strategic themes and challenges for research libraries, focusing on AI’s impact on research. It addresses how research libraries can advocate for responsible and ethical AI in the research and knowledge ecosystem. 3) Stretching Our Thinking around AI: Provocateur Interviews. Authored by Susan Stickley and Laure Haak, this report features interviews of six industry leaders on AI-influenced future and impact in the research and knowledge ecosystem.
