Summary | This Ethics of AI webpage is under the UNESCO website. There are several resources centered around ethical AI. The Global AI Ethics and Governance Observatory identifies pressing challenges posed by AI, gathers impactful research, toolkits and good practices, and informs stakeholders including policymakers, regulators, academics, and private sector. The Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, published in 2021, is the first global standard on AI ethics. It emphasizes the protection of human rights and dignity, and provides policy action areas to policymakers to develop local policies. To assist in assessing the implementation of ethical AI, this webpage also provides two assessment methodologies: Readiness Assessment Methodology (RAM) and Ethical Impact Assessment (EIA). Women4Ethical AI expert platform is one other resource, focusing on advancing gender equality in the design and deployment of AI. The Business Council for Ethics of AI is a platform for companies to exchange experiences and promote ethical practices in AI development or application. |
