Summary Funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the goal of this project is to promote responsible use of AI in libraries and archives. To support this goal, several tools and strategies have been published to assist information professionals apply AI ethically. On one hand, the project team recognizes the potentials AI bring to resources, data, and strategies; on the other hand, the team emphasizes the importance for information professionals to consider potential harms of AI, make informed decisions, and adopt new technology slowly and carefully. This project started in 2022 and will be concluded in 2025.
